The usage of an M12 coupler connector at the bond head of a thermometer, rather than a standard cable outlet, enables quick and safe connection. In the hygienic, food and pharmaceutical industries such a design can be being demanded a lot more frequently.
Used, plant manufacturers prefer to depend on pre-assembled cables with fitted connectors, since this completely eliminates having to fix the single strands into the thermometer head. Enough time necessary for assembly and for disassembly during calibration or when replacing the instrument can thus be reduced considerably. Blood is that, in case of changing out any instrument, incorrect re-wiring could be avoided.
In general, it is also worth noting that, to ensure the operational safety of plants and because of their maintenance and servicing, it is imperative that equipment is simple to completely clean and that moisture protection reaches a maximum. These requirements make an application for all process components, also outside the process (in the ?splash zone?).
