The Reservoir Center for Water Solutions, a consortium and collaboration facility that brings together leaders and thinkers from across the water sector, policy world and beyond, has formally opened in Washington, DC, USA.
Water sector leaders, together with academia, technology providers, commerce associations and NGOs, are partnering within the new consortium to accelerate options to the world’s critical water and sustainability challenges.
Located on the banks of the Anacostia River, the Reservoir Center for Water Solutions will serve as a worldwide collaboration hub to advance breakthrough water solutions and innovations.
The Reservoir Center is designed to strengthen collaboration among the numerous set of stakeholders, from DC and beyond, who work collectively in the course of fixing global water challenges. The Center’s 33 partners – including Reservoir sponsor Xylem – will convey collectively their resources, information and partnerships to drive progress.
Through innovation packages, schooling and mentoring, and neighborhood outreach, the Reservoir Center goals to create a vibrant hub for ideas and action on challenges like water scarcity, resilience and water affordability.
“Establishing the Reservoir Center is a dedication to strengthening collaboration within the water sector, and to strengthening water’s voice beyond it,” mentioned Patrick Decker, president and CEO of Xylem. “The Center shall be a hub for these interested in helping remedy the world’s water challenges to come collectively, deepen relationships, break down limitations and fast-track options. It’s a place the place, together, we can write the subsequent chapter for water and continue our work in the course of a more sustainable world.”
