Diaphragm seal systems with TRI-CLAMP connection are NovAseptic compatible

In sanitary applications, diaphragm seal systems ensure a safe and precise monitoring of the process pressure. WIKA therefore also offers welded units of diaphragm seal and measuring instrument with TRI-CLAMP connection for process integration. A variety of this connection with easy-to-clean NovAseptic connecting pieces is possible without further modification.

Compact component
The TRI-CLAMP connection is widely used in sanitary applications. It is used, among other activities, for tanks and similar vessels. Compared to other process connections because of this industry, e.g. DIN 11864-2 flange connections, the TRI-CLAMP is really a compact and lightweight component. The fantastic advantage of this type of connection is its ease of handling. Measuring instruments are installed, without tools, using a clamp connection.
In order to be able to integrate the TRI-CLAMP into the process, a connecting nozzle of exactly the same size is necessary as a counterpart. In Value , an additional hollow body is created on the vessel. Here, a dead space can arise during the process due to air inclusions or gas bubbles. Thus, an increased cleaning effort is necessary to minimise the potential risks.
Rapid cleaning processes
NovAseptic connecting pieces certainly are a hygienic alternative to this. The adapter for the TRI-CLAMP connection is welded straight into the top of vessel, the ferrule is fixed with head nuts. When installed correctly, the connecting nozzle welded in flush to the tank wall ensures a connection without dead space. This fulfils an essential prerequisite for effective and, simultaneously, rapid CIP/SIP processes.
Application-specific design
All diaphragm seal systems, as well as other WIKA measuring instruments, with conventional TRI-CLAMP connections can be installed with NovAseptic fittings without any modification measures. Generally, WIKA diaphragm seal systems for sanitary applications were created for specific applications ? in the case of pharmaceutical processes, relative to GMP guidelines. The system fill fluid is accordingly FDA-compliant.
